RULES FOR JUNE 9 - JULY 9

TO ALL WOMEN
These rules from the Men of the World are to be communicated prior to the World Cup in June/July this year...
List Of Rules. 1. From 9 June to 9 July 2006, you should read the sports section of the newspaper so that you are aware of what is going on regarding the World Cup, and that way you will be able to join in the conversations. If you fail to do this, then you will be looked at in a bad way, or you will be totally ignored. DO NOT complain about not receiving any attention.
2. During the World Cup, the television is mine, at all times, without anyexceptions. If you even take a glimpse of the remote control, you willlose it (your eye).
3. If you have to pass by in front of the TV during a game, I don't mind, as long as you do it crawling on the floor and without distracting me. If you decide to stand nude in front of the TV, make sure you put clothes on right after because if you catch a cold, I wont have time to take you to the doctor or look after you during the World Cup month.
4. During the games I will be blind, deaf and mute, unless I require a refill of my drink or something to eat. You are out of your mind if you expect me to listen to you, open the door, answer the telephone, or pick up the baby that just fell from the second floor....it wont happen. 5. It would be a good idea for you to keep at least 2 six packs in the fridge at all times, as well as plenty of things to nibble on, and please do not make any funny faces to my friends when they come over to watch the games. In return, you will be allowed to use the TV between 12am and 6am, unless they replay a good game that I missed during the day.
6. Please, please, please!! if you see me upset because one of my teams is losing, DO NOT say "get over it, its only a game", or "don't worry, they'll win next time". If you say these things, you will only make me angrier and I will love you less. Remember, you will never ever know more about football than me and your so called "words of encouragement" will only lead to a break up or divorce.
7. You are welcome to sit with me to watch one game and you can talk to me during half time but only when the commercials are on, and only if the half time score is pleasing me. In addition, please note I am saying "one" game, hence do not use the World Cup as a nice cheesy excuse to "spend time together".
8. The replays of the goals are very important. I don't care if I have seen them or I haven't seen them, I want to see them again. Many times.
9. Tell your friends NOT to have any babies, or any other child related parties or gatherings that requires my attendance because: a) I will not go, b) I will not go, and c) I will not go.
10. But, if a friend of mine invites us to his house on a Sunday to watch a game, we will be there in a flash.
11.The daily World Cup highlights show on TV every night is just as important as the games themselves. Do not even think about saying "but you have already seen this...why don't you change the channel to something we can all watch??", the reply will be: "Refer to Rule #2 of this list".
12. And finally, please save your expressions such as "Thank God the World Cup is only every 4 years". I am immune to these words, because after this comes the Champions League, Italian League, Spanish League, Premier League, etc etc. Thank you for your cooperation. Regards, Men of the World

Love.

Today, one of my close friends and kinda mentory guy is getting married. With seeing them doing all their wedding planning, and all the other things involved with the wedding, I just have to ask myself... What is the purpose of a wedding? Dictionary.com says a wedding is a process of uniting or joining together. But is that all? I think wedding is kind of like a baptism. It is a public declaration to God and the World that these two certain people are joining together to form one united body. Marriage is God's idea, not mans. It is yet another custom that has been taken from early christian tradition into secular society. Marriage is also the idea God gave to us, to demonstrate Jesus and the Church. As woman was separated from man at creation, Jesus and the Church were also separated. But Jesus loved the church so much... He even died for the church because he loved the church so much. Similar to a man who would die for the girl they love. As man and wife unite in marriage, at the end of time Jesus will be united with the Church, those who believe Jesus came and died and rose again will be made righteous with God. Love is not a just a feeling or man-made idea. It existed before the realms of time. God's love does not end in heartbreak or disappointment. God's love is perfect. Those who have witnessed God's true Love are blessed by the creator above.

Holidays...

After 7 gruelling, packed, and predominantly bludging weeks of uni, we finally get a decent break! But then again, all the things planned this holidays, combined with assignments... it doesn't sound like many uni people will get a decent rest.

These holidays have been particularly good so far cos i've met up with quite a few people who have gone interstate (Melbourne, Sydney, etc.) and come back for the break. Also met up with my high school buddies on saturday for badminton (was supposed to have lunch & dinner with them, but had other things planned... DFO.... omg boringest place in brisbane). Had a huge church lunch at plaza with all the youth which was pretty fun too^^ and played badminton with the antioch guys which is always fun.

On a completely unrelated topic, i just found out that the Australian International Badminton comp (equivalent to Aus Open tennis) is being held in chandler this september! anyone want to come!?!? watch the malaysian superstars!!! Apparently there's an U19 comp that coincides with it ! I want to join hehe :P

stairs, doors, toilets, tables, columns, ceilings... zzz...

Been on autocad for the past 3 hours redesigning my office space assignment for the fourth and hopefully final time! Just realised how much time it takes to make a really really good plan or design. Sometimes you have to edit small things, change big things, start again from scratch, make the illegal or unfunctionable things right, and so forth and so forth, and THEN make it look nice and cool. I think I go the other way round... start with something really good, but when all the other stuff hits me, my design just gets crap and crapper. But I've seen some really good ideas and designs over the past five weeks after being saturated with pictures for 7 hours every week in my lectures and tutorials! We had lectures on space, form and shape, and me and my friend counted the number of times the lecturer said the words space, form or shape. We calculated that she said the word space at a rate of once a minute for two hours :P Last thursday we went to kangaroo point to draw up some pavilions. On the way we stopped at riverside and checked out the buildings there. The buildings are so new and modern and stylish! I recommend checking it out!!! nice nice buildings hehe.

Played badminton 4 times (yes... 4 times) this week >____< . Finally got my smash touch back hehe. Me and Elaine played 3 crazy games on sunday at griffith ><. One of them included a 40 shot rally full of smashes, dives, and crazy net shots! Badminton is soooo fun!

Anyhoo, gots stupid asignment to finish
talk to u all on msn :P
